Remember that there is beauty in silence. 😊

Wayback 2018… I remember one of my colleagues, showed me a PM (private message) in their messenger’s group chat telling me that there’s someone I know who was accusing me of something that I never did. It is something that I will never do because of the values my parents and even my grandparents taught me since I was a little. My trusted colleague even gave me a permission to see the conversation. I felt sad because someone I know judged me. I know in myself that I did nothing wrong. If you know me well and if you are a real friend, you will understand how I deeply honor what is sacred to God. 

In this world, no matter how good your intentions are, there will always be people who will attach malice to your decisions and actions. There are people who cannot accept goodness, sincerity and pureness of intentions in others. There are some who are sad over another person’s success and rejoice in their failure.

It is a fact that in this world, we cannot please everyone. For always, people will have something to say against us and our endeavours. I thank God for giving me some trusted friends like the one in my story who would protect my name during my absence and who would be brave enough to tell me if someone is judging me. And, I hope that we all find someone whom we could rely and someone who will protect our name especially when we are not around. We don’t need many friends. I guess only the real ones.

The lesson here is, I guess people will judge you without knowing the whole story. I’ve learned that when someone is judging you and accusing you of something, it’s better to keep quiet in those times. Pray that God will bless the hearts of those people who are saying something behind your back.

The side of story from other people who are secretly gossiping and backstabbing you doesn’t matter anymore. Your reputation is just what other thinks about you. Your good character and your pure intentions are the ones that truly matter. God knows the truth so why worry if other people are giving false accusations about you. You must strive to be the best version of yourself by minding your own business. You have to learn who deserves a seat at your own table.  Close the door of your past and the only story that matters is one that God is writing right now with the people who truly deserve to be a part of your next chapter.

Do not mind what people say against you. Instead, overwhelm them with your blessings so they’ll have lots of good things to talk about. And, remember that silence is true wisdom’s best reply.
