I once said that I have embraced my flaws but that doesn’t mean that I have given up and lost hope. I think I can still improve and I do work on the things that I don’t like.
I used to go to the gym before but not anymore. I also do morning jog and bike before…
If I would be given a chance, I really want to be healthy and work until my senior years. That’s why, I believe that now is the time to take care of my health, track my calories and feed myself with the right nutrients.
When I was still studying, I used to go to the gym with my friends and after our clinic duty in the CEU infirmary, we had HIIT training in a gym near our school. After working out, we used to eat samgyupsal or we would eat in a restaurant nearby. Now, I realized that these are all wrong.
Now, I have learned that when you want to loose weight, proper nutrition is very important. It’s actually 80 percent food then 20 percent exercise. I am not an expert in this field but I am an advocate of low carbohydrates diet NOW. Eating low carb meal works for me. I used to do intermittent fasting on 2019 but it’s not for me. I used to do one meal a day (OMAD) on 2019. I feel I cannot work properly when I tried OMAD. Each one of us is different so what works for me might or might not work for you.
I just hope I could help and inspire people here. Some would say: “Magastos ang low carb meals.” But come to think of it, we must invest in our health. “Mas magastos magkasakit.” And, it’s not totally expensive. You can have eggs in your meals which are very cheap. These are good source of protein. Vegetables like cucumber, lettuce are quite cheap also. Our food intake has a big factor talaga.
Every person is different and every person has different targets in their lifestyle and workouts. You cannot give a one-size-fits-all fitness advice. But, if you really want to be lean, it is really about your diet.
Eat right and don’t skip meals. Avoid crash diet. Believe it or not, there are lots of vegetables that are high in protein. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day according to Dr. Keno while I was still preparing for the board exam. So, don’t skip breakfast if you are on a diet.
Dr. Keno: Class, sa board exam kapag tinanong. What’s the cause of Alzheimer’s Disease? Sagot skipping HEALTHY breakfast.
Another thing is if you want to have a healthier lifestyle, try to cut off and avoid sugar. I don’t eat chocolates and drink softdrinks for almost two months now and I could see some results.
Yes, you could still reward yourself by eating your favorite foods during your cheat day. Just remember that during your cheat day, just eat everything in moderation. You have to sacrifice if you want to be lean and healthy. You have to be consistent.
What I like the best about this and leading a healthy lifestyle is how it gives you this positive attitude.
I have gone into different gym and trainers before. I also met people at the gym who taught me different techniques. You need to push your limit each time and sometimes that’s hard and it really hurts.
Thanks for reading. Hopefully, I could save lives through this post.
Love lots, A 💕

My tip: If you are a rice lover, you can switch eating into cauliflower rice and shirataki rice. Try also putting some chia seeds in your water.
