Christmas Blessings

Some people love Christmas because of the presents and the gifts. But I wanna give emphasis that material things, money and gifts are just temporary. There are some stuffs like peace of mind, good health, contentment, safety, love that are more priceless than receiving earthly possessions.

Dumagat Tribe

If someone is reading my post who are also fond of doing community service and you have money to organize, could you please share your blessings to the Dumagat tribe?

Those people even though I met them many years ago are like angels. Actually, they taught me to be grateful of the small things.

The Dumagat Tribe that I visited before is currently in my mind right now while I am typing this on Christmas Day because I promised to them that I will return and do another community service. They are requesting for FREE BUNOT (free tooth extraction). One of them told me “Dra. baka naman pwede sa susunod libreng bunot.” I know those people need it. They really do because they don’t have the financial means to go in a dental clinic and they don’t have much money for the transportation since their place is quite far from many establishments.

I just did toothbrush drill and fluoride application to the kids before. It melts my heart that I haven’t organize another dental mission for them. The place of the Dumagat Tribe from DRT is quite hard to reach with my own vehicle. So, if someone has a good heart with all the means and would love to offer some services please let me know. For those who want to do dental mission, please contact me. I would love to help those people again.

“Iyong puso ko talaga, tinatawag minsan ng community service. Hindi mabubuo ang taon ng walang ganoon e. Wala lang parang I want to share the blessings that I have in the Dumagat Tribe. Hindi naman natin madadala ‘yung mga material possesion.”

I think one of my goals next year is to make my promise to the Dumagat Tribe that I will return. I really do…

Russia and Ukraine War

Traveling opened my eyes in the reality of life. The Russia and Ukraine war are still on going. I met so many Ukrainians and Russians during my travels and those poor people have to move to another country because of the war. I want Putin to stop the war. I really hope for a world full of peace.

The recent release of the Dentist Licensure Examination made me emotional and teary-eyed. How can I not be? It reminds me of the best Christmas gift that I received many years ago. The result of the theoretical phase during my time was released on the Feast of Immaculate Conception. That’s why I love December 8 so much. This year, the DLE result was announced on December 12, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It brings back the memories. The best Christmas gift for all the studentistas who fought so hard to reach their dreams. I instantly remembered the sleepless nights, all the sacrifices, numerous tears, missed meals, strong faith just to get that dream license.

People would often say “Ang dami ng dentista!” I believe that the number of dentists in the Philippines and around the world are still not enough to the patients who need service.

Before, I was really thinking of pursuing medicine and studying again but this Jubilee 2025 I am fully embracing my destiny as a dentist. I invested in dental stuffs again that will make my work more efficient. I realized that this is really my calling and I was born to be in this field.

Let’s talk about digital dentistry!

Okey, you can skip this part if you are not into dental…

For me, there is a time to use alginate and dental putty for taking dental impression. There is also a time to use intraoral scanner and print. I believe in the mixture of those two in my workflow.

Merry Christmas and happy new year. I don’t know who my readers are but I just want to say thank you for reading.
