Today is the feast day of the Santo Niño, the Infant Jesus. His image is one of the oldest Christian relics in the Philippines. This feast day is purely Filipino and it is usually celebrated every third Sunday of January.
“Viva Señor Santo Niño! Viva Pit Señor!”
On this feast, may we all remember to have a childlike faith. The Santo Niño devotion invites us to trust with a gentle heart. Like a child who believes in his or her earthly parent, may we all trust our heavenly Father and surrender in His will in our life. The path might not be easy but it is always for the greater glory of God. Just believe and have faith like a kid because anxiousness and doubts don’t come from the Lord.
Let us also remember that if you have dreams, God planted all those tiny dreams in our hearts. Some blessings feel impossible but we must all trust fully in the Lord. Be ready and be obedient like the characteristics children have. Preparation matters and trust that blessings need a preparedness, obedience and sacrifice before the gifts arrive.
May we also learn to hope more freely and to love more completely. ❤️
PRAYER TO SEÑOR STO. NIÑO
O Santo Niño, who has said, “Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you,” grant, we beseech You, to us who ask, the gift of Your divine love, that we may love You with our whole heart, in word and work, and never cease from showing forth Your praise.
Make us, O Lord, to have a perpetual fear and love of Your Holy Name, for You never fail to govern those whom You do solidly establish in Your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Blessings for you, my dear reader! 😇🙏 Let us celebrate the love by being obedient like a child to our heavenly Father and do everything according to to His commandments and will.
Love lots, A 💕
