My Catholic faith is very important to me. I love my Catholic faith and one thing is for sure, I will remain being a Catholic forever. I was born and raised with my family in this beautiful religion. I respect other religion and I do have friends who don’t share the same faith, but I always imagine myself serving the Lord as a Catholic Christian. By the way, Catholics are the very first Christians.

Catholic derived from Greek word which means universal (pangkalahatan).

We all should have a constant communication with our Father. I love reciting the Lord’s prayer because for me, it contains six prayers in one prayer — a prayer of adoration, a prayer of surrender, a prayer of petition, a prayer of repentance, a prayer of protection and a prayer to glorify God above everything.  Also, Hail Mary and Memorare are all beautiful prayers. These prayers calm me everytime. I will be posting about these prayers in another post.

Prayer of adoration

“Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come,“

   Tagalog: Ama namin, sumasalangit Ka, sambahin ang ngalan Mo. Mapasaamin ang kaharian Mo

Prayer of surrender

“Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”

Tagalog: Sundin ang loob Mo dito sa lupa,
para nang sa langit.

Prayer of petition

“Give us this day, our daily bread,“

Tagalog: Bigyan Mo kami ngayon ng aming kakanin sa araw-araw.

Prayer of repentance

“And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Tagalog: At patawarin Mo ang aming mga sala,
Para ng pagpapatawad namin sa mga nagkakasala sa amin.

Prayer of protection

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.“

Tagalog: At huwag Mo kaming ipahintulot
sa tukso, at iadya Mo kami sa lahat ng masama.

Prayer to glorify God above everything else

For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Tagalog: Sapagka’t sa iyo ang kaharian, ang kapangyarihan, at ang kaluwalhatian, ngayon at magpakailanman. Amen.

Prayer is like talking to our Almighty Father who lives in heaven above. Just imagine we can approach Him anytime. I believe that the Lord loves it when we call Him Father and talk to Him daily.

God is always near and we will always be His children so let’s love one another. Let’s spread the love always.
